Another famous route frequently travelled is the 520 km long Manali-Leh route also known as the Army Road. The challenging ride begins with the climb to Baralcha after the Manali-Leh route as the altitude increases. The toughest part of the ride is the climb to Lachung La. Continuing for a couple of days you will reach your destination, Leh.  Do not forget to visit the Thiksey and Shey Monasteries just before Leh.
